Tablespoon Chocolate Cake

The easiest and smallest cake you'll ever love. Use a 2 cup ramekin or two short 1 cup canning jars to bake. For one cup capacity jars, bake for about 19 to 20 minutes, instead of the full 28 minutes.
  • 4 Tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 5½ Tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1½ Tablespoons All Purpose Flour
  • 3 Tablespoons Cocoa
  • ¼ teaspoon baking powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 large egg
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Melt the butter in a small saucepan or in the microwave oven.
  3. In a small bowl, combine sugar, flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt.
  4. Add the melted butter to the dry ingredients and whisk to thoroughly combine.
  5. Add the egg and vanilla to the batter and whisk to thoroughly combine.
  6. Spray a 16 ounce ramekin with nonstick cooking spray and pour in the batter.
  7. Bake for 28 to 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out just sticky.
